Pheromones are widespread amongst animals, and can be used to signal a lot of different things. For example, the control exerted by a queen ant over the rest of the colony is pheromonal; female moths attract males from miles away by releasing pheromones.

In humans, their significance is less well understood. The best example of pheromonal control in humans is the eventual synchronisation of the menstrual cycles of women living in close proximity to each other (the “McClintock effect”).

Human males release a hormone called Androstadienone, which is the usual marketed “male pheromone” used to enhance attractiveness to women. It spells strongly of sweat, and its efficacy is highly-contested; no peer-reviewed publication has demonstrated any significant effect. However, it is suggested that it might alter the mood of women: women in the most fertile portion of their menstrual cycles purportedly find it attractive, while those not in that phase find it repellant.

In all liklihood, the circumstances surrounding whether two people find each other attractive are far too complicated for pheromones to have any significant effect.

The Hojo. Very nice. I used to live in some apartments right behind it. There is a mexican restaurant connected to it called Tio Carlos. It’s got the best Carne Asada steak in town. Delicious.
If you are there on the weekend, I recommend the swapmeet at the Sports Arena parking lot. Lots of good deals there.
For walking, the Hojo is on the corner of Rosecrans and Cauby St. Just go left on Cauby till it ends at a 7/11. Turn right and walk across Midway Drive. There are some strip malls, Ross, Target, Home Depot, Ralphs, and other stores in the area. Just keep walking, cross Sports Arena Blvd, and you hit the Sports Arena. It’s big so you can’t miss it. There is also a Red Lobster and Phil’s BBQ (Best BBQ in the world) next to it. Good luck and have fun.

since you said warm air is coming out we know the inside unit is running….is the outside unit running…if yes….is compressor and fan running or just fan…there is only a few reasons for an ac to blow warm air…1 compressor not running A bad capacitor B brunt wires where they connect to compressor….2 condensing unit not running..A bad contactor B no power C high or low freon pressure switch kicked out, low pressure is automatic, high presure will have a manual reset buttton where the linesets come out of condensing unit…3 could possibly be bad thermostat or broke thermostat wires at condenser , an easy check is to touch the yellow wire to the red wire and see if it starts ….4 if you have power but unit is not running and you can hear contactor buzzing…then bad capacitor

Yeah, this is a common problem, getting physicians to prescribe the correct dose of opiate. Physician’s nortoriously underdose, which is medically incorrect. You have to slightly OVERdose in the beginning to get ahead of the pain, as though it’s a wildfire, and then rachet it down a bit. In the long run, less medication is needed for a continuous maintenance dose that way than gradually building up, which never really puts the fire out, so to say. Certainly, those first few days on a large dose of opiate is going to knock you for a loop. But, a huge part of that “gorked” period is actually due to finally being comfortable enough to get deeper stages of sleep, which can’t be obtained when you are in pain. Those deeper stages of sleep accumulate into a “sleep debt” that, when you finally achieve sufficient pain relief, you sleep like the dead for about two to three days to catch up on the debt. But, just as soon as that sleep debt is paid off and you have a few pain-free days and adjust the med as necessary after that, you’ll be just as clear-headed as anyone else. I wish there was a God, but there isn’t one. I think people that devote their entire lives to serving others deserve something….and that’s what makes religion so sad, it’s false hope. I mean, to the great men in history that believed and fought for others to die for nothing but a lie is really, really sad; but that’s the way it is. To the soldiers, i have no political affiliation, that die for their country I think they should get something; but they wont. It’s not fair but it’s the way it is. My Father used to say to me all the time, “Son you’re not going to like what you have to do all the time, but you still have to do it.” That is an important quote that I carry with me, because I think most religious people think that because you don’t believe in a God you can’t have morals; I do good because it’s good…not because I’m trying to get something. I think that the people that formed all the MAJOR religious establishments back in the day knew it was all B.S., they did it to make others do what they wanted. Take polygamists for example, come on…the men are a bunch of perv pedophiles that know what they’re doing is for their own sexual pleasure and not for the “will of God.” I think the founders of religions need to be brought to the current times and made to see what their lies have caused, then be slapped right in the mouth.

Our country and our government was founded with the belief that there is a Divine Being. All of our founding documents mention this Divine Being (God) and thank Him for making our nation a reality.

I believe that our “Founding Fathers” would be turning over in their graves at the thought that God was no longer considered to be a part of the basis for our country.

Shame on Adam and everyone else who chooses to ignore and/or twist the words that are spoken in our constitution. The same words that give them the freedom to denounce those very words!

Rock on! I’ve been serving, cooking and catering for over 13 years now. It’s really hard to paste on that smile and accept the abuse from idiots who were never taught any manners or common courtesy. I was once told by someone who knew me that I should have gone to college and made something of myself. I did go to college and I owned the place! I was so hot I went in the backstock and just wanted to scream. And of course they only left me $1 for a family of 5. Just because I owned the place. I had snooty attorneys complain because I didn’t have 12 Heinekens cold enough. They left me $2 and had sat there for 3 hours.

I do banquet serving now in a different place, and everyone is SO KIND. It actually blows me away that they’re not bitchy! I’ve just come to expect it over the years.

So yeah, to all people who don’t realize what we go through, be nice. Bitch about how overworked and underpaid we are when you get in your Lexus and drive away after leaving $2 for a $100 meal.
